Sales Director
Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve aggressive regional sales and client retention targets.
- Formulate and implement sound market entry and penetration strategies.
- Identify, establish and maintain key account relationships.
- Actively participate in the sales process, including but not limited to assisting in
product presentation and
contract negotiation, for large potential customers.
- Build sales teams capable of effectively executing agreed upon market strategies.
- Identify, recruit, and manage channels for effective distribution into selective vertical
markets.
- Work closely with Marketing, Finance, Product Development, and Content departments on
various cross
department projects and initiatives.
- Prepare various sales activity reports, budgets and forecasts according to Headquarter
requirements.
- Establish good understanding of the China information market.
- Solid line report to China General Manager, dotted line report to Headquarter Sales
Director.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years proven sales experience, of which 5 must be in senior sales management, ideally
in the
information services, database, or internet industry
- Strong direct corporate sales background and channel and distributor management experience. - Proven track record in building, leading, and managing sales teams of over 20 sales
representatives.
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven, positive, and entrepreneurial.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Minimum 2 years of international exposure or multinational corporate experience.
